nothing drawnOne line at a time: click the start, click the end. Both ends snap to what is already drawn — a green dot means it has caught hold, a hollow one means it has not. Every facet has to close or it cannot be measured; loose ends show as red rings. Escape drops a line half-drawn.

HOW THIS CONSOLE BEHAVES FOR YOU
My signature
Adopted once, applied when you signMy mailbox
Mail sends from your own address
Copy the office on mail
Correspondence from a file is practice business — a
copy here puts it in front of everyone, not only in your Sent Items.
Leave the address empty to turn it off.
MY SIGNATURES
Two, the way you already run them in Outlook. Mail sent from a file does
not pick up an Outlook signature — Outlook adds that as you type, and the
console hands the message straight to Microsoft — so whatever is here is
what goes out. HTML. Pictures have to sit at a web address and be linked;
a picture pasted in as data rides along on every single email.

Demo data
Loads 126 invented files for showing the system to someone.
They stay in this browser, never reach the server, and are marked on every card.
Off means you see only real files.
OFF
Autoslide the side menu
Keeps the side menu tucked out of the way and opens it when you point at it, so wide tables and the map get the full width of the screen.
OFF
Open files in a new tab
Clicking a job number opens that appraisal in its own browser tab instead of replacing the list.

Which pipeline stage the board filters to on arrival.
Carrier status report interval
How often carrier appointments require a written status update. Drives the countdown on the board and the dashboard.
Flag a file as stale after
Files past this age turn red on the dashboard and the board.
Stages
A rule belongs to a stage and a
seat — what must be true before an umpire file can be scheduled is not what must
be true where we act for the carrier. Pick the seat, then open a stage.
Add a stage
Joins the end of the board. A rename never orphans a file.
Note types
The headers you file notes under
Add a type
A type already used on a note is retired rather than removed,
so an old note keeps saying what it said.
Document identifiers
What a document is, beyond what kind of thing it is
Why these exist
Four estimates can sit on one file — the carrier's, each
appraiser's, and one from a prior loss kept for reference. All four are filed as
"Estimate" and nothing else tells them apart. These are what you pick from beside
a document. Rename one and every document already wearing it follows.
Add an identifier
The line underneath is optional — it shows under the name when
somebody is choosing, which is where it does the most good. The kind decides which
heading it appears under in the picker, and is what searching and the stage rules
still work in. Untick "this claim" for a prior loss or anything filed only
for reference — those stop counting as an estimate on the file.
Canned notes
The notes you write over and over
Add a canned note
The name is what you pick from; the words are what gets
written into the note. The type and the minutes are still chosen each time,
because the same sentence belongs under different headings on different
files — and because the time has to be the real time.
Umpire attributes
What we ask an umpire before putting his name forward
Add an attribute
Each one becomes a yes / no / not-asked question on every
umpire's card, and a filter on the candidate list. Write it as something a
person can answer plainly — "Allows O&P on roofs", not "roofing policy".
Not asked is not no: an umpire nobody has put the question to stays on
every list until somebody does.
Routing & traffic
Powers the map's route planner
TomTom API key
With a key, drive times account for live traffic and the planner lists
closures, road works and jams along the route. Without one it falls back to OpenStreetMap,
which routes on road geometry alone. Get a free key at developer.tomtom.com.
Status
No key set — using OpenStreetMap routing without traffic.
